2018 commemorates the end of “The Great War” in memoriam of those who fought valiantly for peace in one of the largest wars in history. The Great Britain Choral Festival – A Celebration of Peace: Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice Ending WWI, will celebrate the peace that the world strives for since this monumental event in history.
The Festival will take place July 1-5, 2018, and will feature mixed-voice choirs and individual singers from a variety of backgrounds to sing en masse. Singers will participate in three days of rehearsals culminating in a grand finale performance in the historic Ely Cathedral. Participants will have the opportunity to tour in and around Ely in beautiful and historic cities such as London, Cambridge, Stratford, Edinburgh, and more!
The festival chorus will be under the direction of Craig Jessop, Former Director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Stephen Cleobury, Director of Choirs at King’s College and Director of the BBC Singers.
